I have a Dell Inspiron e1705 with XP Media Center attached to a Huawei ec22 on the Alltel network.

In the thread "EVDO Laptop Success / Failure Postings - READ ME", jackrodgers suggests "May I recommend that people post the make/model of their PCMCIA controller as reported by Windows device manager or equivelent? "

I could not find what he was asking for but in Device Manager under Modemas it says "HUAWEI Mobile Connect - 3G Modem"

If you need more info just let me know.

I have been getting consistent average speeds (toast.net) from 700-980k down and 80-130k up and peak averages of 1.4Mbps down and 130k up.

If anyone has any suggestions on making this faster, or on how to connect this particular modem up to a wireless router please post or pm me or both.
