I am currently using a Verizon USB720 with a Cradlepoint MBR1000 as my home internet connection. Given the amount of data I have to move around regularly (I work at home, and have to keep my local copy of the source code for a large project in sync with the office every day), it looks like I'll be going over 5GB per month, probably more like 7-8GB per month.
So what I want to know is, can I order a second 5GB/month plan with another USB720, and switch back and forth between them, say once a week? Will this violate any of Verizon's terms of service? Would I need to have them under separate accounts with separate names? |

absolutely.
an evdo device is just like another cell phone.
nothing limits how many devices you can have on contract under one name/account, aside from what the carrier thinks of your credit.
3gstore.com will gladly add another line to you account.
when you're ready, submit your order online at https://3gstore.com/verizon/cards.php |

What an awful option to have to implement due to Corporate Policy, not technical limitations. But I suppose if data usage is consistently over the limit by a substantial amount the extra line would be worth the added nuisance expense.
But yes multiple lines on one name (account) is certainly permissible. |

Yeah it is a pain to have to do this. But on the other hand, my Internet connection before VZW was a $199/month HughesNet satellite business plan, that was slower and a lot less reliable. I could have THREE Verizon plans for less than that. |

If you require that much bandwidth for a business why not go on and get a T-1. Most professional businesses secure the proper tools for conducting their business. Trying to operate a business on a wireless connection on a routine daily basis is stretching it. This is especially true for those with large data requirements. |

Wow - you are assuming his business could take a multi-thousand dollar hit for a T-1 line. Many small businesses can't absorb that kind of hit. |

| Check his name - rural bob... a landline probably isn't an option. Who knows how many miles of cable he'd have to lay for a T1! |

I know that many here will have a hard time understanding why the OP would want to do this. I went from Comcast cable at my other house to dial-up at my new home. The phone company said I could perhaps have ISDN. I need a high speed connection for a variety of reasons.
I have seriously considered the 2 card option. When it comes down to it, if I am going to shell out $120 a month for internet access, it's going to be Sprint MBB and not ISDN. |
