Beyond a doubt the Cradlepoint MBR1000 is your best choice

Yes this is a good router (I had the KR2, which is mostly the same router, just Kycoera branded).

I spend a good part of my internet time gaming, and there is a known issue with these routers (MBR1000 & KR2) coupled with a UM150 modem not working with certain games (World of Warcraft being the most notable one).

Just wanted to give you a heads up, if that might be an issues for you.

Everything seems to be okay, except I don't see any signal strength lights
on the front of the MBR-1000.
Am I missing something?
Thanks

Sorry,
I found the answer to my last question about the signal strength.
I need to read everything!

Is there a way to check usage without the VZaccess other than logging on to my Verizon account?

I will also be running a pair of ethernet wires to my future Directv HD DVR for internet access from the HD receiver.

Were you able to successfully run ethernet to the Directv HD DVR? I have a MBR1000 and have tried to both ethernet and wireless connect to the DVR. The DVR says it's connected to the network but not the internet. Any tricks to make it see the internet?

try setting the DVR in a DMZ, not the best thing to do, but if that works work backwards from there to port triggering.

for those with WoW problems, what does shieldsUP! say about your ports?

Try to disable the 'Required User Login' in the routers Admin Page.
