Sprint Smart View software problems?

I just got the Compass 597 and installed the software. When I run it I get an error report code that looks like this..
AppName: sprintsv.exe AppVer: 1.12.15.0 ModName: kernel32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.3119 Offset: 00012a5b

I'm sure it is something wrong with my laptop, but I can't seem to find out what it is. Everything else is working fine, I even did a system restore back to several months ago.

Has anyone else seen this?

I suspect your isssue could be resolved by going to sprint's website to download the current version of the Smart View software, since the auto-load program stored on the card is inevitably dated....

I thought about that and tried that with the same result. I'm sure there is a missing or corrupt file on my computer, because I tried it on a different one and it works just fine....
