Could someone please explain to me why my laptop keeps popping up with a message indicating the Sprint card is trying to connect (via dial-up?) even though I'm connected through a wireless network with the CTR-500 at the helm?

Is there a setting I need to change or something I need to do?

It goes from the CTR with Sierra AirBus to the Linksys Wireless G router to the Wireless G card on my laptop. For some reason, it keeps trying to connect to the Sprint card as a dial-up while I'm surfing even though my connection is solid to the CTR through the Linksys. It's not even consistent so I can't pinpoint what is making it happen.

Any help is appreciated.

If you are using XP go to Control Panel>Internet Options>Connections, and select 'Never dial a connection'

Much obliged. I forgot about that.

My antivirus (BitDefender) had to be reinstalled and I'm having all kinds of networking issues. Both systems are in the same workgroup, connected to the same network and I cannot get them to see each other. At least now I won't have that damn dialup window popping up on me.

I thought the way to connect was like a dial up connection....
