Thanks in advance for any information. I am with a public safety agency that is going to use EVDO for mobile data communications. Information from anyone with similar experience would be appreciated.

When the computer is turned on I need to have the EVDO service automatically started without any user interaction.

Thanks

Well, I've got the VZAccess Manager set (via options) to automatically start up and connect after boot and log into win2000. So, yeah, you can do it.

Turns out That @ 1st power up The 1xEV-DO PC Card will autonomously Find the preferred EV-DO System, then establish a 1xEV-DO Session. It then gets an IP address assigned and goes dormant (If no user app is invoked). This will all happen in just a couple seconds.... Then it sits around like a well trainined butler waiting for you to simply launch an application... I think you'll be very pleased with your service.. Please Note however, Since EV-DO is not ubiquitous.... you must fallback to cdma2000 1x when EV-DO is not available. Having the 1xEV-DO Card does not guarantee having 1xEV-DO Service.

Good Luck
