A Vonage customer is saying that Clearwire (a wireless broadband ISP in Florida, Texas and Minnesota) is blocking the voice over IP service. Apparently, Clearwire will be offering VOIP over Wireless and apparently this is a defensive move to block out competition and they want to make sure that customers who want this service, buy it only from them.
We have demonstrated that VOIP over EVDO is possible. Imagine if Verizon or Sprint decided to get into the VOIP business and they started blocking others?

I remember reading about 6 months back that Vonage went after an ISP that blocked their ports. I don't think it went to the courts but I remember that Vonage won. They argued that the customers were paying for full Internet access and that the ISP must allow all traffic. Again this was some ma and pa ISP and not Verizon or Sprint.
