Hi,

Which card(s) work with Ubuntu and Verizon service without any fuss? ExpressCard would be better, but I'll use a PC card if I have to.

Thanks,
tough guy (who isn't really tough at all)

i would suggest you send a PM to 'torrey' -- an admin on this forum and one of 3gstore's tech support staff.

he could tell you if he's had any success with ubuntu and verizon devices, and would likely be your primary support person when you get that device with service from 3gstore.

keep in mind, our ability to support linux is 'limited' at best. just too many variables/distros.

the best way to use any EVDO device (sprint/verizon/alltel) with any distro of linux is to order your device 'pre-activated' from 3gstore, and get one of the cradlepoint routers to operate the device with.

the router will make it so much easier to use EVDO with linux, and is likely to be much faster... since many linux distro's are using a really crippled usb controller that caps throughput.
