In XP modem setup for the 650, is anyone using an init string? Also, what's ya'lls port speed set to? In modem config it allows me to select max of 115 but in the DUN properties I can select 230.

Regardless of the settings 115 or 230 kbps. The network itself is the ultimate controller of the speed, up and down links speaking, not the software on the machine. So it would not really matter cuz the connection defaults to 115.2 kbps anyways. It would be nice to get 230 kbps upload on EVDO.

Straight from Kyocera - the 650 card is actually a USB device, and the "port speed" is completely ignored by the card, drivers, and DUN settings. You should see no difference in the performance of the card.

No init string - but I use the dialer application that came with the card - who know what it does? Smile I don't use a native DUN setup. Sorry!
