This has been a "feature" of the linksys firmware since 2.01.12.
That is what drove me to the RangerW openwrt r82 with mods.
Obviously, they don't care whether or not they "break" this card.

Im running a PX500 should I not install? Im running .9 right now.

Also... will this new firmware solve my issues of my connection dropping from time to time? It happens at least once a day, sometimes several times. I have an EXCELLENT signal all the time...so It obviously a router issue.

I wouldn't install this firmware unless you are prepared to flash again right away. The gui lockup isn't much fun.

I also don't think this firmware is going to fix your dropped connections.
You can flash it, see if it still drops. Just be prepared for another flash, I think you are going to need one.
