Got my new MBR1000 set up and connected to my laptop, using Verizon 740 PC card for Internet. Next question is how to connect a printer to the network? I seem to remember seeing USB dongles that I can plug into the printer, which will then connect it to a wireless network. If there is such a thing, do I need to make any changes to the settings on the MBR to connect to the printer? _________________ John H Boyd |

if your printer supports an ethernet connection, plug it into the back of MBR1000.
if not, see if your printer has a WiFi option or ethernet/network option available for it. |

Was trying to stay away from the cable. We're buying an RV, so I am looking for flexibility in storage. I am thinking about getting a new, smaller printer, and one of the small sheet fed scanners. Then, I can put them away when I don't need them, and just turn them on, without plugging in cables when I need one. _________________ John H Boyd |

But if I was going that big, I would just stay with my current wireless printer, which I will probably do anyway. Difficult to convince the wife to spend $100 for a new goodie, when the current one works just fine.
Back to the original second question. Do I have to make any changes to the settings in the MBR to connect a printer into the network? _________________ John H Boyd |
