|
|
| I am looking at the Cradelpoint 350 router. Can anyone tell me how far the wireless signal will reach. I want to put the unit in one bedroom where my desk-top PC is located. Will the signal carry to other rooms or do I need to get a different router? Thanks |

| Mine can cover my whole house. All 1 level about 1200 sq ft. It is pretty decent. |

This all the depends on the walls and how far your talking about. But, it should reach anywhere. 3gstore should have a way you can test it and return it if it does not reach where you need it. |

| It's Wireless G so it will have G's same strengths and limitations. |

I have the Cradlepoint 350 and it covers most of my house but without an external antenna its range is not quite as extensive as others with such an antenna. Having said that, you could try it and if it doesn't cover everywhere, you can add another cheap Linksys router via WDS or cable to extend the range with little fuss. The Cradlepoint is the most trouble-free wireless router I have ever used.

Thanks Fellas.
I am new to this whole wireless thing so I just wasn't sure. The fact that it did not have an antenna seemed a little strange. I am only looking for about 1500 square feet of coverage so I think I'll try it out and see what happens. |

Well, so long as your building isn't made of cinderblock, aluminum, or any other surface that absorbs/reflects signals, you'll be fine.
Aluminum KILLS MAIMS AND DESTROYS a wireless signal. |
