Ok everyone, here is what I am trying to figure out and get working. I have an old G3 PowerMac B&W that I have my EVDO Compass 597 hooked into, which is working fine for getting the internet.
I need to share this connection, over ethernet to an airport exporess so other users can connect wirelessly to that AEX. I attempted to setup internet sharing in OSX, selected where I want things to be directed towards, and have setup my AEX connected over ethernet to the B&W. I am using DHCP on the AEX. Why is it that I can connect to the AEX from my windows laptop, but can't get access to the net? Seems I am missing something here. Again, Internet sharing is ON, and everything else seems to be correct. I am thinking this is a DHCP issue.
Anyone have a thought? I STFA and found bits and peices of this, but nothing directly that I could use, or havn't already attempted to fix.
I would also let you know that this is on OSX 10.4.x and that I was able to get my AEX working on my PC laptop running Windows XP in the configuration I am trying to achieve listed above. |
