|
|
Just 2 days ago my connection started acting up... Web pages would take FOREVER to load, if they did at all.
I did multiple speedtests, and I found that my download speed is now ~400kbps (used to be 800-1000) and upload is 1-10kbps. Latency is at least 1500ms (used to be 100-200ms).
Tracert and ping confirm that the latency is on average ~2000ms, if the packets don't get lost.
I would really like to know what's happening here... |

Happens to me all of the time.
I usually just have to wait a day or 2 for it to clear up.
Some times as much as a month. _________________ Merlin S720 |

In the connection manager, move mouse over the manager and type ##DEBUG. Look for packet errors - it should be 0 although an occasional blip is OK. If packet errors keep bouncing around and not ever hitting 0, there's a problem between you and the tower or the tower itself. I could be a conflict between two towers. Let Sprint support know.
If you have the problem at other locations on a different tower, it's probably your card or laptop config. If the case, try on another laptop if possible. |

take this reply with a grain of sand, but it seems as though my connection's fine now!
Hopefully it will stay this way.

Alright, so apparently whatever happened before was temporary, and now it's acting up again. ##DEBUG does show the occasional packet error, but it stays around 0 otherwise.
Hopefully time will solve this... I spent a good amount of time on the phone with Sprint tech support, but to no avail (I hung up after 30 mins. on hold).
I'll see if I can find another computer to try the modem with, but in the meantime this is REALLY annoying. |
