proxy gone?

I noticed last night that my images are coming from the actual websites, and I checked again today when i got home from work and no more proxy. Did my complaining finally get through or did they just pull the plug.

Now if they could get my daytime speeds a little better id be really happy

400-600 down during they day and evening

1500-1700 down early in the morning

Proxied here in Olar, SC still, and speeds still suck lol.

i have the proxy still... with the 1.1.1.x
but my speeds are the same... i still avg 2000+ kbps download

It seems to only be on certain sites that I'm getting proxied.

It appears I'm not under the thumb of the proxy at the moment. Oh wait, Alltel says they have no proxy so I guess I just dreamed all the 1.1.1.1 stuff the other night when I was yelling* at them over the phone.

Anyone want to wager they'll have a new and improved version back online in a few days?

*Don't try this at home kids, they blocked all my external ports for it or so it seems.

I am proxy free all but one site and it is hanging and won't open! Maybe by tomorrow it will be all cleared up! My SID is 126

the people who are not proxied, did you call and complain? What about those with the proxy, did you call yet for your scripted lies? Maybe those of us who got rid of it finally fixed the problems on our computers cause there was no proxy!

I've called several times, and get the same response each time.. "we're working on it".

They did put a ticket in about my speed issues, but it's been seven days, and it hasn't been resolved. I'm giving the weekends, and Memorial Day, as off days, so I'll hear something in the next few days hopefully.

The proxy is gone but my speeds could be better it ise up and down any where between 500 to 1800 kbps .

So how do I know if I am "proxied" or not ???

lewgard -- right click on an image and select properties. Look to see if the image location starts with http://1.1.1.x/bmi/ ... If it does, then you're proxied. If you're using Firefox it's even easier -- if you right click on an image and see "Block Images from 1.1.1.x" then you're proxied.
