|
|
Just got my MBR1000 v1.2 firmware, Sprint 597U.
Can I check the signal strength on my USB card through the Cradlepoint web page? I can't find it anywhere. I know that there is the signal strength via the buttons, but wanted a more precise gauge.
Need to locate the best place to mount my MBR1000.
Thanks.

| Goto Status->Modem Info. There should be a signal strength field in the modem info output. Also, this number is in percent. |

Thanks for the tip.
But, that option is greyed out on my MBR1000.
How do I active that option? Its a new MBR from 3Gstore.
Thanks all. |

Really, the only way to get an accurate reading is to take it out of the router and use the connection manager. Locate the best spot via the RSSI reading, then plug your router in. The routers quasi signal meter is not a good substitute for this method. _________________ evdo-tips.com |

There has been many requests from people about this to CradlePoint and when I spoke with 3G support staff, they've mentioned CradlePoint is working to add more accurate readings on this.
Can anyone from the 3GStore confirm this for me? |

confirmed. we do know that cradlepoint's crack engineers are working on better representation of a connected device's true RSSI. |
