Has anyone purchased and used any of the zBoost products by Wi-Ex?

I recently started a thread about getting wireless signal in a rural area. We figured we'd try the zBoost products.

We recently purchased a YX500-CEL along with the antenna YX026-CEL.

We would like to mount the antenna on the roof.

We currently have our DirecTV satellite mounted on a 10ft. metal mast and we’d like to use that to mount the antenna for the zBoost.

The zBoost instructions say not to mount the stock antenna near metal. Can we mount a piece of PVC plastic to the metal mast and how much length should we use if we did that?

Or is this not a concern with the upgraded antenna?

I have one of them. It works alright, especially for the price. I replaced the stock cable with some rg58 and a small yagi and it helped a bit. i can talk reliably without getting dropped in my house now but my wifes cheap phone still cuts out once in a while.

How was service prior to purchasing the zBoost.
