Another name for this thread could be, "How I shaved another 4dbm"

I do not have a router because I'm a single user in my house. I have a booster antenna and a larger 4ft ebay bought antenna thats worthless so I just use my booster from 3g. Anyways...

I bought two extension usb cables, ran it accrost my huge upstairs. Put modem and booster in window and now I'm seeing -69dbm Very Happy My old strength was -73dbm with booster on my desktop.

This is the cable I bought. Any repeater USB cable will work if your going over 16feet.

This did not improve my speeds, atleast not noticbly but I'm glad to see a better signal never the less.

Would recommend this as an alternative for long coax and the need for an amp.
