I've got an old direcway/hughesnet dish that we own since we had to buy our equipment back when we had that service. It's a different shape, sort of wide rather than circular, unlike most of the dishes that I see used as antennas around the internet. Does anyone know of a guide I could use to make this dish into an EVDO antenna, using something like a cantenna? I'm not so good with my radio engineering, so the simpler the better Razz

The easiest way to do it is to mount a cell antenna where the LNB is normally installed . Then aim the dish at the tower. It will make a trucker type antenna more directional.

Could you use one of the coax cables used for the dw6000 satellite modem and 'insert' it into the external antennae jack on an aircard (um150)?
