I've heard on other routers that after 2 simultaneous VPN connections that anyone else that connects using VPN kicks someone off. How does the KR2 deal with this? Is it an issue? What is the max VPN connections it can use?

Thanks!

There is no limit set in KR2 on how many VPN tunnels can be established. Most often, VPN concentrators will only allow a certain number of connections to be made from a single IP. Because KR2 is a router and local users are on a LAN that is managed by NAT, all traffic coming from the router comes from the same public IP even though it originated by separate computers on the LAN.

For example, say you have three computers connected to KR2 and all are attempting to connect to the same VPN concentrator. The VPN concentrator allows only two connections from any single IP. In this case, the first two computers could connect just fine and the third would not. This is no fault of the router or EVDO device, but is simply a security measure put in place by the network engineers who operate the VPN concentrator. Hope that makes sense. Wink
