Sprint U727 vs Verizon U727

Is there a way to differentiate the two in Linux? They both show up as vend 1410 prod 4100 under usb devices, and every other attribute that I find are pretty much the same. The only differences I can note are:

Sprint Serial: 09108xxxxxxxxxx
Verizon Serial: 09107xxxxxxxxxxx

ESN numbers are different but can't get that info from Linux. Sprint version requires mode switch but Verizon doesn't.

Can you guys check your U727 to see if the serial number follow the scheme above? Doing a project that requires differentiating the two carriers for the same device.
