Good Afternoon everybody Smile

I am proud to be a new member of the EVDO Forums! Its quite a very good thing to be part of a culture using this technology to keep us connected. Any help I recieve here is VERY much greatly appreciated.

1) I posd this auestion to Verizon today but I may get an answer from the Forum sooner...so here goes. I am a new customer with a PC5740 card. I am getting my laptop over the weekend that I will be utilizing this hardware with. Can I use this card as a regular network adapter to access a wi-fi spot or my home network? or are these cards exclusively for use with the VZAccess program and Verizon's broadband network? In other words do I need to go out and buy a linksys or belkin adapter if I would like to continue to have that freedom at home if I chose to? or if I am at a location in which the BroadbandAccess/NationalAccess ias not available?

Thanks very much for your assistance guys!! Very Happy

Steve

Sorry but it won't work for Wi-Fi access at home. You will still need a separate Wi-Fi PCMCIA card or USB adapter for use at home. EV-DO cards work only for EV-DO.
