I first installed my Sprint card on a system already equipped with a Belkins Wireless G card. The computer suffered a registry problem that required replacing the hard drive.

Was there a conflict that caused the registry problem?

I now have a new laptop with built-in Intel PROset Wireless. Can I install the Sprint card without conflict?

Thanks for any help.

If its a registry problem why did you replace the harddrive? I won't go into that...

I have bluetooth and Wireless build in my Vista machine and had no problems installing my card.

I also have a XP with an external wireless card (no bluetooth) and had no problems installing on that. That card is similar to your wireless G card.

Both are laptops. Vista one is brand new, its an ASUS. The XP is an Alienware about 2.5 years old.

I've also installed the card on my two desktops both XP neither of which have wireless cards, just LAN and Modems.

I have no idea what happen'd to your registry. It isn't seen as a wireless card by my computers its seen as a Dial-Up modem in DUN mode (default) and a LAN when its in (NDIS) (only use this on one of my machines I had an issue with DUN mode)

Have no fear it *should* work!

Set a restore point too

Thanks.

I should've mentioned that most of my experience is with the Mac, not Windows. Mac seems a lot simpler.
