Looks like the tower upgrades in Michigan happened on my Alltel tower today. I now have rA on it along with the Verizon tower I have been using. I have been running Verzion's VZW Access Manager instead of QLM now for about 2 months.
Not impressive if you ask me. I will stay on the Verizon tower for now:

My speeds on alltel have been pitiful. Atleast I can hook up to the verizon tower but strangely I am throttled at .5 meg on my download. Alltels speeds have been like this here for the last 4-5 months. I am not a happy customer to say the least

Just curious, where in West MI are you? I live east of Newaygo (49337) and have been getting the same pathetic speeds as you (see the Alltel poor service thread where I posted my speeds). I am also getting a Rev-A signal with decent ping and upload speeds, but the download is pretty much dial-up type speeds. |

| Did those of you that now have Rev A get a text from Alltel that stated they upgraded their wireless network. I received that text in my area last night, but I didn't see anything improved besides a lower ping time this morning than I've ever seen. Not Rev A pings, but improved. |

| Just got revA service in the Tupelo, MS area. Improved pings (145ms or so), 250 kbits up, 900 kbits down (averages from multiple runs of speedtest). Did not receive any information from Alltel regarding the upgrade, so it was a nice surprise... |

I am getting Revision "A" according to my phone, have been for a little over a week. The down load has not improved from just strait "EV", but my up load is much improved.

I am traveling today on route 30 in Ohio about 70 mi. west of Mansfield, Oh. With my Altell UM150 connected to a laptop and laying on the dash. Have been reading the lastest posts and thought to do a speed test.
