Updated my card and evidently I'm not in the Rev A area, even though it shows on the Alltel map that I am! Ugh..

Much of NW Arkansas now has Rev A (Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale, Fayetteville)... along the I-540 corridor. I usually get average 1000-1200 download, 500-600 upload, when visiting there. Not a lot faster download then my regular DO just east of that area.

But... impressive is regular EVDO in Oklahoma City. On weekends, no Rev A there, that I have seen. But consistent 1600-1800 download, 100 upload. Very nice if the signals are strong, like at the Ok State Fairgrounds.

Not sure if I am EVDO Rev. A but.... I just did the firmware upgrade for my KPC680, before the upgarde I was downloading around 200k. After the upgarde to the firmwar I am running 1385k per many speedtest.net

Sorry I can not post the link do to first post. 1385 down and 100 up with 344 ping and distance of 550 miles to DC

This is at work, in Abingdon VA 24210. Under the help About tab I am showing RSSI (1xEVDO) at -84 dbm. Capabilities 1EVDO Digital Data, and singal strength 77%. Also connected on the bottom of the quicklink it is showing connected to Axcess Data (EVDO-1x). It is not showing anythign Rev a, but my speeds have jumped a ton?

I doubt that you're getting rev a with that speed alone. The icon in QLM should show a rA if you are getting Rev. A. In comparison, here is a test I just did:

Definitely don't have Rev A. in my area.

Sweet, finally got some rev A in the Manhattan, KS area.

It was funny, too, because I emailed Alltel support a few days ago inquiring as to when this area would get rev A. The tech replied that they had already performed all the updates they had planned for this year, so I took that to mean I wouldn't see it until 2009 or later, which was kind of a disappointment. Imagine my surprise when this morning, the rA icon popped up on my Touch. Smile

Alltel provides the EvDO for Sprint here. One of those weird areas where voice comes from the PCS band but data comes from Alltel on the cellular band.

RevA is here but the speeds aren't that much better than Rev0. Upload has increased to about 300 or so though.

When I go to a native Sprint RevA area...wow... I can hit 2 megabits and 500 up easily.

I just received a message on my Alltel phone that the network in my area has been upgraded. Can anyone in the area verify whether Rev A is available yet?

RevA found in Rusk, TX. I actually live closer to Jacksonville and the tower that is in jacksonville, but with a little luck and tweaking I've been able to grab the RevA signal from the tower in Rusk, 9.9miles from my house using a wilson omni.

rssi of -93 when this was done:

The following is with -75rssi according to quicklink mobil, seem to be getting lower speeds wih the better rssi, perhaps more noise or traffic on the tower. The -93 reading was done an hr before this one.
