I just got a UM150 last week. Is Alltel working on their network?
Should I be getting EVDO service?
I keep losing signal. And the speed is not very good.
Could be the area where I am using the service. Big steel building.
I do not have an external antenna.
Thoughts??? |

Where are you in northern michigan? I'm over near Lincoln-Harrisville area and we have Rev. A. They also have it in Alpena, and I heard from the Alltel rep that someone reported it down by Oscoda..but I can't confirm that he knew the difference between Rev A and 1x.
Also, what PRL are you using? My um150 didn't even have the normal data prl out of the box. When I changed to the most current, it did make a difference, instantly going from 1x to rev A. I've read that it isn't supposed to make a difference, but it was one heckuva coincidence that I saw the REV A light up for the first time ever the instant my prl was updated. |

| Open Quicklink Mobile, look in the help bar under the About section and see what PRL version you have. I would guess that it is between 30029 and 30031, which is outdated and you want 40036. |
