RRAS and Sprint and Tweaking Help?

I've searched through the forums but haven't really found any details on my situation. If I've missed the topic somewhere else, please point me there Smile

I see a lot a post about "tweaking your network settings" but they all seem to deal with a single machine using the EVDO device, so here's my configuration and question(s):

Sprint 595u, Wilson Yagi Antenna and amplifier, direct connect antenna wire, 30' ultra low-loss cable, 5 bars, -85 freq

Windoze 2003 using NDIS and RRAS connected to standard Linksys 100mb switch. Netgear WAP also hooked to the switch and being used by 2-3 laptops.

Connection is used for everything from WoW to VPN for work to regular surfing and email.

Problem: My pings in WoW are fairly consistent, 2-400. However, I am getting EXTREMELY horrible "delay" spikes as close as 5 seconds apart and lasting as long as 30 seconds. Couple things I've noticed: 1) When I have more than one machine playing WoW, it seems to improve. 2) If I stream a radio station on another machine on the network, it seems to improve.

Question: When "tweaking for best performance", what exactly should I be tweaking? All the machines? All the interfaces on the Windoze RRAS server? Just the NDIS interface on the server? Should I be using dial-up instead of NDIS?
