Silly question....can a laptop connect to a router via Bluetooth? If not, what kind of signal does it typically use to connect wirelessly to routers?

Uh..are you serious? Routers typically use wifi and your laptop/computer must have wifi capability.

So far I have not seen any router that offers Bluetooth as a way to connect to it. Plus if you was using Bluetooth to connect your speed would be a little slower because bluetooth can only send and take in so much. Very Happy
