|
|
I am wanting to go ahead and order, but need to know an answer first..
I understand the 720USB will plug into the 350 router and then the router provides a wireless connection to the system...
How does the modem go about logging onto the network (verizon "A").. I don't see how I could use vzaccess any longer and that the router would do the job, but how?
thank you for reading. |

The CTR350 has support for the USB720 built-in. The CTR350 has "kind of" a n Access Manager/Connection manager built-in, so it actually automatically establishes the connection, once you insert a supported device.
VZAccess Manager is no longer needed, in fact, it will not recognize any EVDO device when plugged in a router, only when the EVDO device is plugged into the computer.
However, it is a good idea to keep VZAccess manager installed for troubleshooting, accurate signal readings, PRL and firmware updates. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

| I use this exact combo and there are no problems at all. Your wireless card will "see" the Cradlepoint router and once it connects, you are off to the races. |

| That's cool, thanks for the info. My laptop is a lenovo and has the mc5275 in it, but of course I'd rather do an ESN swap and use it when I'm on the road, versus the USB one. |

| There is a post elsewhere on the board that tells of someusers taking apart their USB modem and plugging its inner card into their computer's internal slot for wireless. Obviously the warranty on the card is voided but it would be the best of both worlds to pull it off. |
