How do I open ports?

I am trying to open ports on my CTR-350. I have the router set to a Class A IP address 10.0.0.1 The machine on my network is 10.0.0.2 that I want to have ports open to. If I go into gaming it won't accept 10.0.0.2 as an IP address because it says its reserved. Any help would be appreciated and thanks!!

According to Cradlepoint's FAQ (http://www.cradlepoint.com/techsupport/faq.php#WhatIPaddressdoestherouteruse) the router uses the first 2 ip addresses, i.e. 192.168.0.1 AND 192.168.0.2 or in your case 10.0.0.1 and 10.0.0.2.

Change your computer to either use DHCP and reserve the IP reservation so it gets the same address everytime or manually set it to something other than 10.0.0.2, like 10.0.0.3. Smile

After that you should be able to open any port you want.
