if you're connected with NDIS then I think Smartview is worthless...

I upgraded from the 1.12 version and as soon as the card is plugged in it connects (as it should) but Smartview can't talk with the card, it just sits there at "acquiring data service" while I'm happily surfing the internet. I shut down smartview and the connect is not interupted.

Additionally, I don't see the connect type or the data upload/download/totals...

here's a good question, is it possible to change any of the card parameters now with smartview because EVDO Only and RAS/NDIS are not greyed out because smartview is not connected to that card... I changed them and unplugged the card/etc and it just goes back to the orignal setting.

Maybe I need to delete the nework connection?

Try uninstalling software and reinstalling if you haven't all ready. Maybe the install got corrupted.

uninstall/reinstall for giggles. Same thing, as soon as the wireless card is plugged into the USB it'll connect via NDIS. Smartview sees the card, gets a signal strength but then sits at "acquiring data". Internet connection is working fine. Smartview just can't connect to the data card to talk with it.

Definitely an "errata".

I have the same problem, but finally I solved. Try to download Sprint Mobile Broadband (Sierra) and install it. It will update your firmware. Then install the smartview again. (Before you install these two programs, remove old ones first, even form the device manger!)
