Will a USB720 adapter cable work on a VX8600?

I've looked at the antenna connections on both and they look to be identical. I was curious if anyone has experience with this. The only thing I see is that the one on the USB720 is a bit further inside the casing, but the connector is exactly the same.

I'm almost sure... almost that the connectors don't really matter all that much other then a tight fit.

Cast and point..
I bought a UM150 plug (larger) and a u727 plug (smaller) because at the time I had two different EVDO vendors for 30 days. When I plug the larger one into the u727 it doesn't fit tight but my signal still goes up...

So my theory is that its like coax cable for your tv, the inside wire is the connection and the outside metal is just to keep it in place...

I might be wrong as hell though..
