Hi Everyone,

I looked around and didn't find a post like this. If I am wrong, please help point me in the right direction, otherwise...

I have the Cradle Point PHS-300 along with the Franklin CDU-680 on Sprint network. Been getting around -70 to -80 dB, 150 - 170 kBps, Speedtest.net comes in at 1500-1700 D/ 300 - 400 U.

I haven't been able to play any online games ever since I got this. Which I thought would be possible since the speed is better than my friend's DSL connection, although the latency is not as great. I tried configuring the router that EVDOinfo.com put out for the their customers, but no luck there either.

Finally, I check the "Status" section of the router (which sits next to the PS3, XBOX360, and Wii) and the "Wireless Signal Strength to Devices" comes in at around 30% - 47%. The ps3 got the 47%, which I notices is faster than the other devices with the 30% (obviously). However, all devices (on the actual devices itself) show 100% signal strength. Question is: Is there are way to re-route all bandwidth to a signal device to boost the signal strength from the router to 100%? Even if none of the devices are on, the signal strength is still low.

Thanks!

Do the online games work at all and are slow, or aren't they accessible. If they are completely nonfunctional, you probably need to enable something in the Advanced tab, either Special Applications or "Gaming".

If you would describe exactly what you are trying to do and how it is failing it would help. "I can't do online gaming" actually gives little information which would help diagnose things. Which game? What is not working?

I enabled the "Gaming" section under the Advanced tab per the instruction provided by EVDOinfo.com but the games suffer from a tremendous amount of lag. For instance, games like Super Smash Bros. Brawl (wii), Super Puzzle Fighter (ps3), and Warhawk (ps3) all suffered from lag. SSSB, for example, moves at 1 - 5 fps! Just to be clear, I can log onto the games and play with someone else, but it is just really slow and laggy.

I tried shutting down all devices but my laptop (used to monitor the wireless strength) and the PS3 but the wireless signal strength to the devices under "STATUS > WIRELESS" stills hover around 30% - 50%. [/quote]

Last night, I also tried to disable "Traffic Shaping" under the "Advanced" menu. The signal went up to 50%, which is good, but not good enough to eliminate the lag for the online games.

First, does it work adequately with the sprint modem directly in the laptop?
(the cell network might be the cause of the delays). Does it work outside or near a tower better? What is your signal strength?

Also, try opening a DOS window and type "Ping cnn.com" or use one of the other latency testers.
