I am buying another CTR350 and a PHS300.
My current GSW file is saved on my thumb drive in case I do a reset.
Can I apply this GWS file to the new CTR350 and a PHS300 as well? |

It depends on the firmware version.
I have had (in general) very poor results restoring CradlePoint config files, especially across different versions of the Firmware. In fact, although I do same them, I have had such bad experiences (mostly, the router gettng flakey after a restore), I just set the router up from scratch each time.
Others have reported success. I suspect the more you customize your setup, the more there is to go wrong
I will say this. The MAC address is (or at least was) held in the GWS file, so if you restore a file from another unit, it will change the MAC address of the new router to match the other router (something you may or may not not want to do).
I once posted instructions for changing the MAC address here (I got the instructions form CradlePoint). You might want to do a search.

Yeah, I think I had better start from scratch on each unit and customize.
There's still a lot I don't know yet and doing this should help me learn more about these routers and what it has to offer.
Thank you. |

The 2.1.0 firmware is compatible (at least CTR to PHS as I tried), and I think it will load most of the configuration from a 2.0.1 file. I don't have failover and only use the LAN port as ethernet to evdo.
Note there will be hiccups if both have the same name, Wifi channel, etc. so after doing the restore, I would make adjustments before rebooting (or turn the other one off).
I used this to move the main config to the PHS then turn the CTR into a WDS node. |
