I have a Vista laptop, and a desktop PC. Have Sprint's U727 USB aircard. Can I install the U727 in a wireless router and have both the desktop and the laptop access Internet at the same time? How? Laptop has wireless card built in. Desktop also has PCMCIA slot (I used it for my old Aircard before I bought the laptop) THanks!

Yes! 3Gstore.com has several different models of CradlePoint EVDO routers that are compatible with the U727 aircard. They allow you to share your EVDO connection via WiFi or ethernet cable just like any other DSL/Cable router except your EVDO modem is the internet input instead of a cable/dsl modem. Contact their sales dept (sales *at* 3gstore.com) and they will help you choose which model will meet your specific needs! Their support is the best too! After all they are the EVDO Experts! Check out some of their support reviews !

Torry,
Seriously, this is a discussion forum, where folks come to discuss, not be given a sales pitch.
30+ people have already come here to see your reply, and from the lack of their replies, I can only assume they where almost as disappointed as I was in your response.
Torry, as a Admin, I believe you should be able to write a informative reply that would encourage discussion. You can do better than this.
So, tell us a little about the options... We already know where the store is.

I agree, way too perky! I do appreciate the site, and will probably buy from 3G Store, but sales pitches dilute the information here.

rgriese,
Yes, there are three ways you can do this:
1. use a EVDO router
2 .use ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) on one of the computers and run a Ethernet cable directly to the other.
3. use ICS with a standard router to which the second computer can connect either wirelessly or via Ethernet cable.
Windows ICS setup page:

I'm also looking for a router but there are several to choice from. Anyone have a suggestion on the router you use with your u727? They are much more expensive then my cheap Linksys so I'm taking my time before i drop the bucks on one.
:O this thread is kinda the same too

Very well put. Several times I've read posts where 3G Reps would not answer questions unless you bought the equipment from them. You were required to call them with proof of purchase. That alone keeps me from ever purchasing from them. I think a forum like this should be open and any information that might help someone should be passed along. Who knows.....the one you help now might be a customer later.
