I have tried (unsuccessfully) to configure a Buffalo ethernet converter with my MBR-1000. I tried to get help from both Buffalo support as well as 3gstore support (thanks for trying!) but no luck.
I am just going to ebay it and try another one out.

Before I do, has anyone been successful in setting one up to work with their Cradlepoint router, or more specifically their MBR-1000?

Here is what I want to do:
My router is upstairs because that is where I get the best signal.
My home theater stuff is downstairs. I have an HD DVR that I want connected for on demand stuff. I have an HD DVD player that I would like to connect for online interactive stuff. So I want to connect these devises with an ethernet cable to a wireless bridge that will be connected to/configured with the MBR-1000. Should be easy but that darn Buffalo devise just wouldn't connect no matter what I tried.
Any options/suggestions??

How did it not work? Were you just connecting one device at a time, or going through a switch to have both connected.

Did you try it with no security enabled?

In theory, like you say, it should just work. I'm sure it is doable, we just need to isolate the problem setting.

I never could get a connection between the Buffalo and the router. ON the last screen of the setup which is a configuration page on my browser, I never could confirm a connection.
I'm not sure what you mean by one device at a time. This is purely setting up the Buffalo to work w/ the MBR-1000 using an ethernet cable from the Buffalo to the MBR.
I did try it w/ no security and I had the same issue. Seemed to make no difference.
