Hey i got this router a few months ago when it came out, and I'm using a UM150 Alltel device to give me the internet. The firmware just came out for it and I was hoping that would solve my problem, which was the router would not reconnect, after it had been disconnected, therefore I would have to restart the router for it to connect again.. Anyways so i downloaded this file for the firmware.. What do i do with it? Sorry for being completely Non tech savvy but any help would be great, thanks.

Go into the router configuration and select the setting to upgrade the firmware, browse to where you downloaded the file, select it, and let the router download and install it.

open a web browser and type in the router's IP. I think for a Cradlepoint it is 192.168.0.1 but check your instruction sheet to be sure

well hey, I did that and everything, and I tried to log into the router afterwards and was getting an incorrect password error, what would be the default password on it so i can go in and change it.

Peter,

The default password is the last 6 digits of your Mac Address (label on bottom of MBR1000). If you look on the CD that we provided, there is a MBR1000 Tip sheet that makes doing these things a bit easier.
