i'm planning on purchasing evdo service with a static ip, probably the um150 usb modem, and connecting to a ctr-350 via the lan/wan port. will i be able to push that static ip to the laptop, and how do i configure the ctr-350 to do that?
thanks |

You can't do it currently, what you're asking about is called bridging and you can't do it on a CradlePoint right now.
You can however setup port forwards and such to mimic a static IP. What and why do you need a static IP for anyway? Doesn't dynamic DNS work for your situation? |

thanks for the info.
reason: need to satisfy some strict network security issues. laptop needs static ip address, access to internet, and cannot install any sort of dns s/w on it. |

Do you just need a static IP on your local network, or a static IP address on the internet...or both?
Verizon is going to charge $500 one time fee for the static IP address... |

| Yeah, include some more details. If all you need is a static local IP then that is easy. |
