I have used my Kyocera Express Card with my HP6000 for several months with no issues and good performance. While on travel, it stopped working and gave me the QA913 error. The only change that was made in my system was renewal of my virus software (TrendMicro) with an update to their 2008 software and a subsequent virus scan. I have since checked out the card in another HP6000 and it works fine. Verizon has tried to help and sees that the card tries to connect, but thinks the virus software is preventing it. TrendMicro has been of no help and doesn't think it's their problem. I have tried uninstalling the virus software but apparently it leaves something behind. Any suggestions?
I tried the #777 method and now I get a 720 error that apparently has something to do with TCP/IP settings????
Also this problem started March 18th. Seems coincidental with many other complaints. Could it be a Windows Upgrade issue? I'm running XP. |

| I, too, am having the same trouble. I also have Trend-Micro security software. But even if I disable it, I still get the same problem. I called Verizon support, but they were also baffled. I could use some help as well. |

I finally got mine working (not thanks to Verizon). I did the following, altho I'm not sure what fixed it. The hard wired networking was not working, so I worked on it. Uninstalled everything related to this and then resetup the wired networking. Ran windows updates. Turned off Trend Micro. Uninstalled everything related to Verizon Wireless. Started from scratch with the Verizon CD. Everything seems to be working now.
I also had to allow access in Micro-Trend to Verizon Broadband Access.
Good luck. |
