How do I make a S720 work with a KR2?

My Merlin/Novatel/Sprint S720 card doesn't seem to be connecting in a KR2. The S720 lights up green, but the EVDO light on the KR2 just lights up red.

The router log says "Unsupported PC Card detected"
The KR2 firmware is ZE1.0.00 (that's never a good sign!)

I know I saw somewhere that the S720 was supported by the KR2, even though Kyocera doesn't claim it is.
Is there a trick to getting this working, or should I have gotten the Linksys router (which I've used in the past...)

I talked to my dad about the KR2 and he went off and bought one last week. I help him set it up yesterday with his S720 and no tricks were required. Plugged the card in, powered the unit up and he was online in 30 seconds.

I don't think Kyocera has a firmware update, but I am wondering what firmware your card has; I see other routers have had problems when card firmwares change. Maybe the difference between your not working setup and my dad's is card firmware.

Don,

I just sent you an e-mail with a few things you may need to look at.

As soon as I get a response from you, I will compare the notes and make a few suggestions that may help your situation.

This may have something to do with the firmware that is on the S-720 Card...

To Be Continued...

Upgrading the S720 firmware from version 125 to version 145 seems to have done the trick...

Glad to hear it Don, that was about the only thing that made sense.
