I've an AllTel PC5750 datacard and need to purchase a router that I can install this card that will allow me to connect a Dell Inspiron 8500 laptop (Windows XP/SP2) and an HP Slimline s3407 c-b PC (Windows Vista Home Premium/SP1). I'd prefer to connect from the router to both computers wireless(ly) but will cable connect if I have no other choice.
I've seen the announcement in the Verizon/Sprint forum that the KR1 will no longer be sold for wireless connectivity using THAT 5750, but, does that also apply to the KR2? Or, is there not even a problem connecting wirelessly using the AllTel 5750/KR2 configuration?
If the KR2 is not usable in this application, which router 'fits the bill' for my AllTel PC5750?
If, indeed, the PC5750 is the same as the Pantech PX500 then it seems it should work. Anyone have success with this combination?
