Quick Mobile UM150 Install error

I have a laptop running vista when I run the quicklink software for the UM150 it stops when it is loading the modem drivers I get the install error any had this to ?

I havent tried on vista... but just an Idea since vista has an insane amount of worthless security... Did you run it as an admin?

By this I dont mean by admin account type. Right click the setup icon when you view the cd and choose "Run as Administrator".

I tried that didn't work I had the card working on the laptop and the card went down I went and got another one and I removed the quicklink software and did or tried to do a clean install. Should had left it alone! It loads every thing but the drivers for the modem I don't know! Who could I call I tried alltel tech support and they was lost .

Update, Called Alltel today as the card is almost Hosed! The tech told me about a Download that addresses the issue you and I have been having. Check out the Microsoft Download site and get KB 940646. Download it and install. See if you have better luck than I did!! It would download, But would not install!! I have to wait till tomorrow to see if they can unhose the darn thing! There is a way to uninstall the card and software that I am going to try tomorrow when i call them back tomorrow. I called them back when I couldn't get the download to install and told them I had tried to Uninstall the software and he said that there was a special way to uninstall the software as when I tried. The Icon disappeared and the drivers did like yours and the only way to get it back was to do a system restore but It is still hosed! I will call and find out how to remove all of the program and reinstall it and see if I can get it to work better than now! If this works will reply tomorrow, Dan
