Okay, this is a rather complicated question. So thanks ahead of time for any help.
Alright, I have a HTC Touch and I'm trying to tether it to my computer so that I can share the phone's internet connection with my PS3.
I used to do this with my E815, but I recently went with a smartphone and now I'm starting to regret that decision.
I connect my phone with the USB cord, then go to internet sharing on the phone and connect. IF it works, which sometimes it likes to be screwy, then I can usually connect to the internet on my laptop; that isn't the problem. The problem is getting the Playstation 3 to connect through that LAN connection. I've tried bridging the connections and sharing the connection to my cell phone on my computer, but I'm out of ideas here nothing is working.
If this doesn't work I'll probably take it back since I'm in my 15 day trial period and just get a Rokr. |

or, you can get a cradlepoint CTR350 or PHS300 router, which should improve upon your gaming experience/performance.
you are of course, certain than you have the PAM plan for your Touch? |

Besides, my set up has always been free. No extra equipment except for a cross over cable.
If I can't just do this by simply plug and click with a "smart" phone, then why spend money on it when I can trade it in for a cheaper phone that I pretty much know will work from past experience and have a much more simple set-up. |
