every cradlepoint router has a landing page option.
under Basic > Wireless
make sure you turn on: "Require User Login"
now when folks try to surf using your router, they will have to login from a 'portal' or 'landing' page. |

Yeah I see that login page, but I was hoping for some kind of custom solution rather than an ad for Cradlepoint.
If it was like nocatsplash from the DDWRT days, or just something I could put simple terms of use on. |

Will do, thanks.
To clarify; do the smaller cradlepoints have that chat feature, but the 1000 doesn't? |

| Actually the MBR1000 does have the user login page, but DOES NOT have the CHAT feature. |

hmmph.. i confirm your findings. and sit corrected.
its ridiculous to me they would do that. their logic is prolly that chat is not needed since MBR1000 is not a 'portable' router.
as if an office chat server is not beneficial.
i disagree. chat is beneficial.
here is email i am sending to suggestions@cradlepoint.com

all too often, its easier to ask a quick question via chat, rather than put a customer on hold and call a coworker for the answer.
why use AIM when you have a private chat network and no/little risk of security issues? |
