The sprint software won't run on Linux, but most of the EVDO can be made to operate with Linux just fine.

According to sprint, because of linux's generic usbserial drivers, you won't get over 500 kbps. This is the ONLY reason I'm running Winblows. |

But there are linux drivers such as the airprime which does a better job of handling throughput foe rach device. USBSerial is limiting. |

I'm not having any trouble on Linux with my Sprint A900, or my Verizon 5220. Work just as well as they do in windows.

| So that is the problem! I was wondering why I was only getting that much throughput. Most of the time, it is just fine. Only on a big download, is it a problem. Do, how can I get around this? |

One option is to use a usbserial module that supports the maxSize option
and use that option to increase a buffer size... You can get full
throughput. _________________ IPCopS720WLANAP |
