| How did it get hit? Did you have an external antenna outside and it hit that and ran down the the CTR? |

Hi Keven
Sorry about your lightning hit, it can really do a lot of damage. As a ham radio operator I have found that it is always a good idea to UNplugged all major electronic devices whenever there was lightning in the area. Not always possible but lightning can really clean you out, from TV's to Microwave, computers and more.
Good luck
Bob S

External antenna or though the power plug?
I know how you feel. I live in the second most lightning struck place on earth, and we get hit all the time.
FWIW, consumer grade power surge protectors / UPS units only work about 80% of the time, and you should replace all the units after a hit (even if they continue to work).
Belkin is one of the few companies that does not require you register the unit and the equipment plugged in to get the connected equipment warranty. If you make a claim, expect to get back only a fraction of the equipment worth, and also expect to spend a lot of time, effort, and money getting repair quotes and jumping other hoops.

It has the small antenna mounted inside the window, so it was hit through the plug. Also hit my underground dog fence and fried the transmitter.....there's another $250............ _________________ Keven |
