|
I have a dell latitude c640, pantech PX-500 card, Windows XP Pro SP2.
Alltel
Last night I was in Dublin, Ga, east of Macon, and only had 1xrtt coverage. The sprint coverage map show I was in a green area (1xrtt) but it was surrounded by the dark grey. I loaded up Alltel, coverage map, according to that I was in their area. Am I missing out on something? Shouldn't I be seeing Alltel's towers? I tried switching from automatic to "roaming only" tried "evdo only" all I could manage to see was Sprint's 1xrtt.
My connection manager software is version 3.02.036, it won't update, says it's the latest version. my PRL is 60608. Do I need to update this? I read in another thread i need the activation code to do this. have no idea where that is. the card was activated when i pulled it out of the box when i got it in the mail from sprint.
I went to sprint.com/downloads and seen they have a new version of a different software, version 1.10.0023.0 the 30 meg one for multiple brands of cards. but read in another thread that it was breaking a lot of pantech cards. Spent 30 minutes with tech support with sprint, they either had no idea what i was talking about, or acted like it.
Is all this worth pursuing? Am i missing out on evdo service? |
