| Does anyone here have the KR2 that is using the PC5750? Alltel is starting to wonder if the card is bad, but I'm also about ready to throw my linksys and dlink out the window. I'm just wondering how well this combo would work on Alltel. |

Compatible devices
It's not listed on their site. Probably because it's an old card.
I bet it works though, please let us know what you decide. What about the Cradlepoint? _________________ GraphicWonders |

| It's the same as the PX-500, which is on their list. I'm just curious as to if it will work any better than the others. |

DUhhh! Never looked at the specs for the Cradlepoint. I see no routers with a PCMCIA port. So, either a KR2 or Linksys. That's quite disappointing _________________ GraphicWonders |

| I was thinking of the KR2 because it's basically a cradlepoint that handles the pc5750, so I'm also covered if I ever change cards. |

| The KR1 supports the PC5750, it's what I use now. If I had to now, I'd probably go with the KR2 though. Like you said, if you go with an Express card, you'd be covered. Also, the KR2 will probably support more cards, whereas the KR1 won't be worked on anymore I'm sure. |

I've an AllTel PC5750 datacard and need to purchase a router that I can install this card that will allow me to connect a Dell Inspiron 8500 laptop (Windows XP/SP2) and an HP Slimline s3407 c-b PC (Windows Vista Home Premium/SP1). I'd prefer to connect from the router to both computers wireless(ly) but will cable connect if I have no other choice.
I've seen the announcement in the Verizon/Sprint forum that the KR1 will no longer be sold for wireless connectivity using THAT 5750, but, does that also apply to the KR2? Or, is there not even a problem connecting wirelessly using the AllTel 5750/KR2 configuration?
If the KR2 is not usable in this application, which router 'fits the bill' for my AllTel PC5750?
If, indeed, the PC5750 is the same as the Pantech PX500 then it should work. Anyone have success with this combination?
Thanks, JerryB |

| if I'm not mistaken the Linksys 3G, KR1, and KR2 all support the PC5750. I personally have the Kr1, and for the most part like it. I don't think it will be supported anymore, so you might take that into consideration. |

| One of the members here has made a couple of changes to a keepalive script for OpenWrt on the Linksys, and it's working a lot better. I still think there are tower issues, but there should be a new tower up soon, and maybe that will fix the mess. |
