|
|
i have posted here a few times that i am a really heavy downloader.
i have both sprint and alltel evdo cards, 100% signal 100% of the time.
both my cards will dl at speeds of .9 -1.3 megs consistantly.
i have used download express for many months now with great success.
here's the problem,
starting about 2 weeks ago , i noticed that if i start a download from
easynews that the dl speeds will jump erratically from 1.3 megs down to near zero and anywhere in between. it makes for really weird performance while downloading.
however,
if i set a speed limit of say, .5 megs down, it is rock solid for the duration of the download with near zero fluctuations in dl speed.
this weird behavior is affecting both my sprint and alltel cards.
now,
if i dl from some other site (not usenet) i have my normal fast, consistant dl's.
i only get the "sputters" on the usenet.
hey,
maybe easynews is the problem?
has anyone here experienced anything like this?
thanks for the help
otter
ps: the "sputters" are present even if dont use download express and on all 5 of my laptops. |
