Since last week, I've gotten several TXT messages on my watcher with my V620. They come about one per day.
They all contain the message:
UNHEARD-1 URGENT-0 TOTAL-1
but the total keeps ratching up a number. The message "From:", lists my cards phone number, as though I sent the message.
I called Verizon customer service and they suggested I log on to vtext.com and deactivate my settings, but that didn't work, so they deactivated my TXT ability on the account, but these messages are still coming in.
Is this a hackers work, or is this a bug in the watcher? Thanks! _________________ borland

it could be someone sending to the wrong number, call Verizon and do an EZMove and get a new phone number for your card. After doing this, just run activation wizard to get your card working with your new phone number.
Normally, you could reply to the message, but not if it appears to be coming from the same number. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

I don't think its someone sending the wrong number, as it appears to be coming from my card.
If Verizon will change my number without charge, then that might do the trick. Might just look into that, but it's just a minor inconvenience, till I get my monthly bill and find they are charging me for these txt messages. _________________ borland

It looks like voicemail notification (you normally don't see the TXT message on an actual phone), might want to call your card number and delete the messages or have Verizon remove it _________________ Jonathan Bradshaw |

I've had the same card phone number almost 20 months. This TXT messaging problem just started.
But I never thought to call the card number. I'll give it a try and see what happens. Maybe my PC will ring? _________________ borland

Well, it looks like Jonathan was right.
I called my PC card's phone number, and after the call was transferred to voice mail, I left a voice mail message.
Checking the TXT messaging in VZAccess Manager, I saw a new similar message had arrived with the same time as my call.
Now if I could listen to my voice mail from the V620 or via the internet, then having Verizon voice mail with the data service might be a nice feature.
Next step is to call Verizon and have them disable the voice mail. _________________ borland
